Hugo Monteiro was born on November 1, 1997, in the city of Guarda, where he was a student of Visual Arts in secondary school. In 2016, he went to study Graphic Design and Multimedia, at the Superior School of Arts and Design, in Caldas da Rainha (ESAD CR.), where he had the opportunity to have contact with various visual cultures and to deepen his knowledge in terms of creating image as the reproduction of the same. After completing his degree, he entered the Masters in Graphic Design, at the same institution, and is currently investigating and exploring Urban Visual Communication, believing in the importance that image assumes in the Public Space. This interest comes from the relationship he had previously had with the culture of Skate, Graffiti and Punk, which made him reflect on urban space. His taste for Graphic Design comes from the relationship he has had with drawing since a very early age, thus assigning a role to his desire to stimulate creativity, combining analogue, manual and digital processes in his work. Currently he has been working mainly with illustration, lettering and branding, however he likes to combine different disciplines that may not be directly linked with Graphic Design, aiming to amplify the senses and experience.<\/p>\n
