Brinches, Serpa, 1964. Studied at the Higher School of Fine Arts, Lisbon. Photographer with a long career in photography since the 90s of the 20th century. XX, having more than 10 books published. He won the first Visão/BES Photojournalism award in 2008, was a member of the Kameraphoto Collective and one of the 13 Portuguese photographers chosen for the RTP Entre Imagens program. He regularly collaborates with various publications in Portugal and abroad and has exhibitions in Lisbon, Porto, Paris, Brussels, among many other cities.
In recent years, he has focused on personal projects, where he reflects on issues of immigration, belonging and occupation of territory. He is represented in the following collections: State Contemporary Art Collection / Ministry of Culture, Novo Banco Photography Collection, EDP Foundation, Coimbra Visual Arts Centre, PLMJ Foundation, Norlinda and José Lima Collection, Serralves Library Collection, Marin Gaspar Collection, Fonseca Macedo Collection, Braga Image Meetings, Sines Arts Centre, Alcanena City Council, The never-ending collection, Spain.
