Filipa Gomes
Chef
Filipa was born in 1984. She grew up in a rural village, surrounded by her grandparents’ vegetable gardens, plunging in the diving fountain and animals.
She has two children, Julieta and Viriato.
She had the happiest childhood.
She attended the António Arroio Art School.
She dreamed of becoming a fashion designer but ended up graduating in MKT&Publicity, later specializing in Advertising at the now extinct Lisbon AdSchool.
Filipa worked as a copywriter for 7 years, having been in several communication agencies – DDB, LOWE, McCann Erickson, BAR, BBDO.
In 2013, she auditioned for hosting a cooking show on 24 Kitchen Portugal channel and accidentally discovered the calling that makes her happy – communicating through food.
Since then, she has presented 4 cooking shows – Prato do Dia, À Boleia da Filipa, with Filipa Vacondeus, Cozinha com Twist, Cadernos da Filipa – always making sure to take an active role in the production of all of them, from the creation of the concept, from the scenario to the development of the scripts and recipes.
She also co-hosted 2 cooking contests on RTP – A Minha Mãe Cozinha Melhor que a Tua, with José Carlos Malato, and Famílias Frente a Frente, with Chef José Avillez and Chef Hugo Nascimento.
Released 2 books and the Diary of Recipes.
Filipa produces self-promotion content and commercial partnerships on her social networks – Instagram and Facebook (400k and 920k followers) in which she shoots, photographs and edits herself.
