Nuno Miguel Guedes
Journalist/Songwriter
Born in Lisbon in 1964, Nuno Miguel Guedes is a journalist. He was at the beginning of O Independente, having leaving it in 1990 to join Kapa magazine, of which he was editor-in-chief and co-founder. He writes for various cultural publications and is a permanent contributor to Visão magazine (culture section).
He is currently one of the hosts of Poetas do Povo’s poetry sessions and is part of the Lisbon Poetry Orchestra, a multidisciplinary collective formed by a group of musicians who invite other artists to celebrate and interpret poetry in a truly unique journey to the discovery and reinvention of the spoken word.
A songwriter whenever he is allowed to, Nuno participated for the first time in the Festival RTP da Canção in 2018. He is also a TV scriptwriter, blogger, occasional DJ, anglophile, books and Academic (professional football club from Coimbra) fanatic. In his spare time, he is a Dry Martini practitioner.
