ALEXANDRE CAMARAO

Alexandre Camarao lives and works in Lisbon. His work usually takes the form of drawing or painting but also, occasionally, video and sound.

 
Finished the Advanced Course in Visual Arts at Ar.Co and attended the Photography Course also at Ar.Co. Exhibited at ZDB in 1994 and 2000. Participated at the “Wc Container” Project by Paulo Mendes. Exhibited at several Ar.Co Scholarship Students & Finalists Exhibitions and more recently at Espaço AZ with Maria Ana Vasco Costa and at Ar Sólido with Sérgio Carronha.

Also works as a musician and DJ in the electronic music field. Performed at ZDB, Lux/Frágil, Festival Número and Citemor. Participated with a musical collaboration at the “Sonic Process” exhibition at Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris / MACBA in Barcelona and at Festival Atlântico in Lisboa. Published albums and remixes.
