DANIEL MOREIRA

Daniel Moreira was born in Switzerland, and lives and works in Porto, Portugal. In 2000 finishes a BA in Architecture, starting the same year a multidisciplinary path between architecture and fine arts.

 

His illustration work has been requested by creative agencies, international and national publications, and major brands, with whom he has been collaborating. Lately develops a more personal work, focusing in such themes as memory, time and place, where through drawing and installation opens a dialogue with nature and the fiction around landscape, as well as a research into the very creative process. Participates in numerous solo and group exhibitions including Laking at Oksasenkatu 11 gallery in Helsinki, Ilustrarte Biennial 2016 at Electricity Museum in Lisbon, Black Hole – Grafixx Festival 2015 in Antwerp, 10th Prize Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso at Museum Amadeo Souza-Cardoso in Amarante, Encontros da Imagem Photography Festival in Braga, O Porto e a Península at Península gallery in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Tiny Universes at Tooth and Nail Gallery in Adelaide, Australia and What the hell is BOOTSBAU? at Bootsbau gallery, in Berlin.
