Lisbon, 1982, Carlos Flor Vicente, son of stone..
Graduated in Architecture from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa he developed his Master’s Degree on the work of Carlo Scarpa from the reading of Maurice Merleau-Ponty. A reflection that continues in the Doctorate inserted in CITAD. He went through teaching as a guest professor of Prof. Doctor Alcino Baptista Ferreira. Since 2005, he has been developing projects in his own studio, but it is the daily experience in an Old Portuguese Stonework Workshop, Alfredo Antunes Flor, which allows him to nurture the dream of uniting Architecture, Arts and Crafts in a common place. He formed empedra® and CIAM [E] Center for Artistic Research of Material [Empedra].
