Artist

Filipe was born in 1989 in Lisbon. 

“Hi, I’m Filipe Cerqueira, and I know a lot about a lot of things.”

Filipe lives in a world of Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tunes cartoons, heroes from the 1930s, self-portraits and more recently political satire of world leaders like Trump or Sarcozy. He has already taken part in several group exhibitions, such as the trip to the Outsider Art Fair in New York (2020) and a solo exhibition at Galeria Abysmo in Lisbon (2016). His work is in several private collections. He is a resident artist at Cercica de Cascais and has been represented by MANICÓMIO since 2019.
