Fernando Xavier
Designer
Born in Lisbon in 1975, has been a designer since 2000. With various skills, he is part of the core team at Labdesign, where he began his professional career and with whom he still collaborates today. He has also been part of the team at Edit.Set.Go! and Departamento since it was founded. As a designer, he follows briefings, studies, thinks, filters and presents visual solutions. However, he satisfies his creative needs (to date) with what doesn’t make him think. He prefers projects that don’t require briefing, that let creation run free and without a defined destination. He doesn’t know if this is called art or something else and, although he enjoys showing these creations, he rejects their limitation by commercial objectives. The result is unpredictable and consciously unconscious, passing through various techniques of visual expression and without predefined styles and where everything is the moment and everything is possible.
