João Matos

João Matos was born in 1989, in Évora. He enrolled in the English Studies course at Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa, but his early interest in drawing would eventually indicate that his professional path would take the form of visual arts. After two years of self-taught photography, he is currently attending the first year of the Photography course at Ar.Co. With an unequivocally queer perspective and predilection for nudity, hir artwork speaks of fragility, intimacy, and melancholy, in an attempt to sublimate the world of concrete things and bring light to the invisible.
