Daniela Guerreiro
Artist
Daniela Guerreiro is a Portuguese visual artist who explores themes such as identity, intimacy, diversity, and acceptance through figurative painting. Born in Faro in 1992, she studied Visual Arts at the University of the Algarve and Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Her work is characterized by a raw and authentic aesthetic, centered on the representation of bodies and experiences often marginalized by social norms and dominant aesthetic standards. Through light, color, and texture, she creates paintings that address vulnerability, self-care, intimacy, and individual freedom. Between the studio and public spaces, she has exhibited her work in Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Benin, and France. She believes in representation and self-care as tools for social and emotional transformation, making painting a space for empathy, listening, and reflection.
