She was born in Gela, in a Sicily drowned in problems and controversies, but with the timeless beauty of a past which takes long to be present. Maria Vittoria works in Milan, New York and Berlin, where she lives for some years before returning home, at a respectful distance of the Etna volcano.
She is the only world photographer who got to capture by chance an oil production platform and a cargo ship during a lonely trip from Buenos Aires to Hamburg, or shoot at the Miami Police Department. And she could so because she respects the space and rhythm of each project, coming with kid gloves to reach the timeless and the unique.
